The Swiss Government and the General Consulate of Switzerland in New York chose Mrs. Christine Pfister as the new Honorary Consul in Philadelphia. We congratulate our member Christine on her new assignment and welcome her as our new representative. Christine Pfister takes the place of retiring Honorary Consul Franz Portmann who served the Swiss Community for many years. We thank Franz Portmann for all his support and wish Christine Pfister great success in her new position.

Our society celebrated its 150th Anniversary on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Torresdale Frankford Country Club in Philadelphia. The Gala Dinner was well attended, and our members and guests enjoyed great food, entertainment and dancing. The Directors of the Board thank all sponsors, advertisers and especially the attending members, friends and guests for supporting this special event.
