  • Annual Meeting 2021

    Due to the Coronavirus situation and the safety of our members the board of directors decided to cancel the Annual Meeting scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2021.

    Members will receive an information package including the Annual Report (Booklet) and a ballot.

    We contacted the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein in Philadelphia and booked the 2022 meeting for Saturday, March 26, 2022.

  • Mr. Erhard (Hardy) Hoegger (1924 – 2021)

    Our society mourns the passing of our Life Member Mr. Erhard F. Hoegger, who passed away in Wilmington, DE on May 24, 2021.

    Hardy had joined our society in 2009 and became a Life Member in 2017. He was also a member of the New Helvetic Society since 1982.

    On behalf of our board and all members I extend deepest sympathy to the Hoegger family and may Hardy Rest In Peace.

  • Mr. Klaus Mueller

    Klaus Erich Mueller of Levittown passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Crestview Center. He was 82.

    Born in Dresden, Germany, Mr. Mueller has been a long time resident of Levittown. He was a brick layer with Union Local 1 of PA for over 50 years until retiring. Mr. Mueller was a member of the Erzgebirge German Club, the New Helvetic Society and the Swiss Benevolent Society of Philadelphia. He also enjoyed trips in his RV and had traveled across the country three times.

    Beloved husband of Annemarie for 53 years, Mr. Mueller was the loving father of David Mueller (Debbie) and Christine Mueller and the devoted grandfather of Madeleine and Markus. Klaus will also be missed by his sisters, Karin and Renate and his nice Monika (John).

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Swiss Benevolent Society of Philadelphia, c/o Hans Huber. Financial Secretary, 213 Abbey Lane, Lansdale, PA 19446.
